The Links at New England Village, formerly known as Baywood Golf and Country Club, is a 7,000 yard championship course located at the eastern gateway to Wasaga Beach on County Road 92. Truly a player's course, this scenic par 72 features 18 picturesque holes set amidst gently rolling terrain and rich, reclaimed farmland. The Links gets its name honestly; every aspect of this layout is true to links golf that is generally found in coastal settings around the world. Even so, this course retains its own character with unique challenges and idyllic views. The combination of natural grasses and firm fast conditions, white sand bunkers and natural hazards require a different strategy to play your best golf. Knock downs and bump-n-runs are perfect to shoot your best scores here. With numerous water features, every hole is a challenge and a great view, but the signature 5th hole on an island par 3 is the one to remember. Four sets of tee blocks offer golfers the opportunity to select the yardage best suited to their level of play, whether a championship or recreational player.

With tee decks ranging from 5,100 yards to 7,100 yards, there are many options to increase your enjoyment or add to the challenge, however we recommend playing the appropriate tee to your handicap which our friendly team can help with.
Once on course you are found in the tranquil surroundings that have you secluded to the hole you are playing with no other golfers in sight left to right. Your only distraction may be several of the white-tailed deer that also call Lora Bay their home.

Well before construction began in 1990, Peter Barnard, Wil Matthews and Ray Richards set down the essential characteristics of what would become The Mad River Golf Club. While superb course design and excellent turf conditioning were a given, the founders also wanted a club that was affordable, relaxed and encouraging of family participation – a place to unwind from the pace of city life.
The first step in achieving their dream was to hire the acclaimed Atlanta-based golf architect Bob Cupp, former chief of design for Jack Nicklaus. On a large parcel of rolling countryside near Creemore, Ontario, Cupp created a design that made the most of the property’s beautiful long views and mix of treed and open spaces. When it opened in 1991, Mad River received rave reviews, not only for its strategy, aesthetics and conditioning but also for its playability for every level of skill.
Over the past 25 years, Mad River has become synonymous with excellence in the golf industry. Careful budgeting and skilled management have kept annual dues among the lowest of comparable private clubs in the Central Ontario region . Two decades of ongoing reinvestment have enabled us to maintain the course – and the Club’s balance sheet – at championship level
